ABA needed its Crime Insurance Coverage. Is your Law Firm Protected?
The American Bar Association’s (ABA) Information Services department former finance administrator, Karen M Healy, was arrested for stealing nearing $1.3 million of cellphones and IPads that she ordered in the name of the ABA. Over an 8 year period she ordered 1715 cellphones and 10 iPads, forging paper work showing other ordered services and then burying the expenses in different accounts.
Fortunately for the ABA expects to recover most of the funds through their crime insurance coverage.
