This program will provide a candid look at the current threats to lawyer well-being; how to work with neurobiology rather than against it; and provide practical tools and practices for improving lawyer well-being. \nThe ABA is making lawyer well-being a priority in 2025\, updating and building on the landmark 2016 ABA-Hazelden Betty Ford study that forms the basis of this program.  Patrick Krill (J.D.\, LL.M\, M.A.) and his research partner Justin Anker (Ph.D.) from the University of Minnesota Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences are leading the new study. State bars across the country will partcipate by conducting anonymous random member surveys. \nThe practice of law has changed significantly over the last decade\, with new developments from Covid to AI increasing the stress lawyers face every day.
